Myxomatosis infected rabbit

If you live in Australia be sure to get a mosquito-proof cage as there is an incurable disease called myxomatosis that causes a slow painful death for your little bunny friend. The vaccine is not available for pet rabbits in Australia as it is illegal because of fears that the immunity conferred by the vaccine could be transmitted through the wild rabbit population.

Sad to know that there is no vaccine available to cure disease like myxomatosis, which is responsible for some many deaths of rabbits in Australia. Wildlife department should take proper steps to stop this disease. All bunny keepers should use a mosquito proof cage to prevent their rabbits from this disease.
