How to Check Your Rabbits for Ticks

This is mostly for people who own rabbits that live in or near the bush but the occasional tick wanders everywhere...

Steps:

take your bunny out of his/her cage and place on bench table etc.

have a pair of tweezers close by

gently blow on your bunny's fur to check for ticks

also feel everywhere on your bunny for lumps which could be ticks (especially in between the toes and the ears)

if you find one immediately twist the head and pull out

consult your vet if rabbit is paralyzed or in any other way ill
